SHAAREI SHOMAYIM BA'AL TEFILLAH (Part-Time Position) Shaarei Shomayim Congregation is a large, vibrant modern Orthodox synagogue in Toronto which is now in its 90th year. The Shaarei Shomayim community is committed to meaningful prayer, Torah study, the Jewish people and the State of Israel. We are seeking a Ba'al Tefillah to play an integral role in our synagogue's services and community. Duties include leading Shabbat and Holiday services and participating in the congregation's programs as well as our members' lifecyle events. This is a part-time position ideal for an individual who is well-versed in the liturgy (nusach ashkenaz) and who is gifted with both a strong musical ability, a pleasant voice and a warm and outgoing personality.
