MANFRED GERSTENFELD "Strategic Priorities for the Fight Against Contemporary Antisemitism" Recipient of CIJR's 31st Anniversary International Lion of Judah Award Manfred Gerstenfeld, born in Vienna in 1937, and grew up and was educated in Holland before making aliyah to Israel. There he pursued a career as a pharmaceutical specialist and inter- national financial consultant (Bank Leumi and Israel Corpora- tion). Once embarked on academic work, he has written and edited some 20 scholarly books and scores of articles, and is today recognized as the leading international authority on contemporary antisemitism. Dr. Gerstenfeld was Chairman of the World Union of Jewish Students, Chairman of the Jerusa- lem Center for Public Affairs from 2000-2012, Director of the Institute for Jewish Global Studies, and Editor of The Jewish Political Studies Review. He received the Journal for the Study of An- tisemitism's "Lifetime Achievement", and the Simon Wiesenthal Institute's" International Lead- ership", Awards.
